この無線LANはPSPをつなぐために購入しました。ほかの部屋にあるパソコンはすでに有線LANでつながっておりこのままで問題ないので無線LANにつないでいません。
まずACアダプタをつないで、何も設定しない状態でケーブルをつないで見ました。パソコンのほう有線LANなのでそのままケーブルを背面のポートに差し込みました。この状態だとつながらなかったので付属のCDをいれ、説明書通りに設定するとパソコンの方では繋がりました。
PSPの方はAOSSでつなぎました。このAOSSという機能で設定する場合は、50cm以内に機器を近づけて設定するようですが、無理な場合は親機を設定したい機器に近づけても設定できるようです。PSPの設定は50秒くらいで完了し、とても楽でした。特に問題もありません。セキュリティーの設定もされていたので安心です。
webページを見ていても普通に見れるし、問題等もなかったので星5にしました。

私は古い木造二階建ての住宅で、外壁を二枚隔てて子機を設置しています。
距離は3,4メートルほどですが、有線と比べて速度は特に落ちることなく使用できています。（8MbpsのADSL）

無線LANの構築は
１、親機にモデムとパソコンをつなぐ
２、子機のドライバをインストール＆接続
３、子機側でアクセスポイントの検索
でできました。思ったより簡単でした。
セキュリティはWEPを設定していますが、これも簡単に設定できました。

今のところ不満はありません。
ニンテンドーDSもアクセスポイントの検索＆WEPキーの設定でつなげました。

VAIOのデータをリビングのテレビで見たくてルームリンクと一緒に購入しました。本機とルームリンクの設置距離が１０ｍ程度でその間、木製ドアが２枚のみという環境のせいでしょうか、動画の送信も快適に使えています。初めてだったこともあり、設定には１ｈ程かかりました。
