5.0 out of 5 stars 単なるスタジオテイクの置き換えでは無いライブアルバム, 2005/11/6
LPでのリリース当時は３枚組だったこの作品は、発売当時のベストに
相当する選曲といった点で、お買い得感がありました。ただ、実際に
聴いてみると、スタジオ録音とは演奏がかなり異なっています。
冒頭のホウダウンからして、トリロジーに収録されたスタジオテイク
に比較するとかなりテンポが速く、途中のソロパートもバリエーショ
ンが豊富で、メンバーが演奏を昇華させていると感じます。また、
本来は組曲の締めでしかなかったアクアタルカスも、１０分以上もの
アドリブ大盛り版に改編され、ノリの良い作品に仕上がっています。
スタジオテイクの置き換え以上の評価をしてよい作品だと思います。
