　キース・ジャレットという人の演奏の中でひときわ異彩を放ち、最も美しい１枚、それがこのアルバムです。

　題にあるとおり、なんとも形容しがたい演奏なのです。ただ、ただひたすらに美しい。しかし、あとにも先にもこのような演奏はキース自身でもこの１枚しか行っておらず、このあたりがジャズらしいというか、本当にキースが自分の部屋にふっと現れて、ピアノを弾いてくれているような。そんな感じに今の私には思えました。

　キース特有の唸り声も全くと言っていいほど入っておらず、あれが苦手な方にもお勧めできます。全ての音楽ファンに聴いていただきたい１枚です。

文句なく、本作品はキースの最高傑作だと思います。5 - 7分程度のスタンダート曲が淡々と演奏されていきますが、自宅での録音であるためか、または病気療養中であったためか、いつもの唸り声も聞こえません。しかし、その演奏の精神状態は内的にとてもintensiveなものであることが、それぞれの曲のメロディの訴えかけてくる強さから分かります。Blame It on My Youthはライブ盤のものよりさらに美しく、青春を回顧させます。Shenandoahは訥々とでも激しく新たにチャレンジする勇気を与えてくれます。何度聴いても、心が和らぐと同時に、希望を与えてくれます。私の幼い子供もなぜかこのCDを聴くと、機嫌が良くなります

私は、ﾋﾟｱﾉﾄﾘｵが好きで、中でもｷｰｽのｽﾀﾝﾀﾞｰｽﾞﾄﾘｵは最もお気に入りの1つです。ﾋﾟｱﾉｿﾛは他の楽器との絡みやかけ引きがない分面白味が感じられずにいました。ところが、このMelody At Night With Youは違います。自分自身の年齢（40代半ば）も手伝っているのでしょうか？大変心地よく何度聞いても飽きない！これはｼﾞｬｽﾞﾌｧﾝだけでなくある程度の年齢の方ならばあらゆるｼﾞｬﾝﾙの音楽ﾌｧﾝに受け入れられる１枚ではないかと思われます。巷で癒し系と言われる音楽など問題ではない。私にとってはこのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑが最も癒される・・・のです。
