ジャケットはちょっとクサい。
カバーがオリジナルに勝てないのは分かっている。
でも、いいカバーはカバー曲も聴いてしまうし、
オリジナルの良さも再発見させてくれるのがいいカバーやと思います（誰がカバやねん）
そういった意味で、思い入れの強い初期３部作ではなく、それ以降の曲をカバーしているモノについて、
このアルバムで良さを再発見しました。
「街路樹」が最高です。名曲です。名曲でした。気づきませんでした。
あの頃の尾崎は少し避けてました。
その他も結構有名な方々が入魂でカバーしてます。ライブ音源入れときましたって感じの
宇多田ヒカルだけが残念です。

トリビュート盤は歌っているのが本人でない以上、本人そのものはそこにはいません。本人の楽曲の意を汲みつつも、各アーティストがどれだけ彼ららしさを発揮するか、そうであってこそ「トリビュート＝賛辞」となり得ると思います。その意味でまるで自分らの曲のような顔をして演ってるミスチルはさすがです。岡村ちゃんもよくぞ演りきってくれた。名前のみ知っているだけだった斉藤和義氏はこの盤で再評価しました。そして、Cocco。その特異な存在感ゆえに敬して遠避けてきた私でしたが、この盤がきっかけで復帰後から聴きはじめました。活動休止前とは明らかに異なる「歌うことへの喜び」があったからです。様々な側面で肥大化した「Cocco」の名を自分の手に取り戻すために無期限の活動休止を選ばざるをえなかった彼女、発売当時も公式には休止中で決して完調とはいえない彼女を１曲目にしたことを単なる話題作りのためだけだとは思えない私でした。

TRIBUTEとなると必ず「本人とは違う」だのなんだのイチャもんつけるおバカちゃんが現れる。てか本人じゃないんだから当たり前ちゃうん?確認してから買ってんの?知ってて嫌なら何故に買う?ただ本人のファンぶって批判書きたいだけやろがい(笑)自分が好きなアーティストが歌ってて興味がある!でいいんちゃうのん?尾崎が歌ってる歌が最高で尾崎しか認めないんなら尾崎が歌ってる尾崎のアルバムだけ聴いとけ!
