前作からわずか９ヶ月のブランクで発表したディヴァインファイアの２nd。
デス、ブラックメタルに通じるブルータルな部分が多少なくなっているし、前作とは違いほとんどの曲が４分台とコンパクトな楽曲指向になっている。
とはいえ、ドラマ性がなくなったわけではない。相変わらずドラマティックなKeyが素晴らしいし、ギターリフ、メロディも当然素晴らしい。
楽曲はコンパクトでも前作と同様、非常にドラマティックで良質なメロディがあり、アグレッシヴでパワーもあり、疾走曲満載で心地いいアルバム。

前作に比べブラックメタルの雰囲気がやや薄まりましたが、やはりカッコイイ。
疾走曲も非常に多い。

でも、ちょっとコンパクトにまとまり過ぎかな。
もっと壮大な曲が欲しかったところ。

このバンドは結構マニアック！？なバンドですが、このアルバム要チェックですよ。特に、メロディックパワー/スピードメタルファンは。

今回のアルバムは全体通して、疾走曲が目白押しです。疾走好きなら買っても納得できるはずですが、僕が最初聞いたときはなかなか耳に残りませんでした。聞き込まないと、口ずさめませんでした。

そういう意味では、キャッチーさにやや欠けるのではないかとも思います。僕がお勧めな曲は、バンド名と同じ「ディバインファイアー」です。アルバム全体で壮大な感じがでているので、ラプソディーなどのシンフォニックメタルファンも楽しめると思います

それにしてもこのバンド、主要メンバー３人＋ゲスト何人参加してるかわかりません。

補足ですが、このディバインファイアー、サポートメンバーをたくさん引き連れての初ライブは日本でやりましたよ。光栄なことですねー
