ポリスの最後の作品であり最高傑作、また80年代、そしてロック史に残る名盤です。
ベスト盤でポリスを知ったひとでも、このアルバムは通して聴いて欲しいなと思います。
数年のキャリアのうちに5枚のオリジナル・アルバムを発表しましたが、その間の進歩の
度合いはすさまじく、初期の名曲ぞろいだが粗削りなサウンドを思うとこのアルバムの
（特にB面を聴くと）感嘆するしかありません。

小・中・高・大とポリス・スティングとともに成長した自分にとって
もはや客観的に評価すらできない傑作。

当時最初に聴いたのはラジオから流れてきた「walking in your footstep」！
私ぶっとびました。選曲した小林克也は、ホントに偉い。

そして購入したＬＰで、アルバムタイトル曲のイントロからぶっとびまくり！
ラストのサハラまで正座してました。

シンクロツアーは日本でなかったが、すでに絶頂期は過ぎていたようです。

スティングはソロになり、ライブの輝きを一旦取り戻しますが・・。

まずタイトルからしてインテリ好みで面食らったが、聞いてまた「やられた」という感じがした。
（また凄いのをつくったようだ・・という第一感想）
というのも1回目では「みつめていたい」しか理解できず、
あとの曲は、今はよくわからんが、とにかく繊細、緻密ですごそうだという気配を感じたのを記憶している。

アーバン・ロックっぽい「シンクロ・・１、２」や不思議なポリスらしい調べの「ミス・グラデンコ」は、当時も今もお気に入りの曲だ。
聞き込むほどに、驚き、ユーモアを発見したアルバムです。
当時は大学の寮にいて、やはり熱心にポリスを聞いているやつがいて、
そいつがすすめてくれた作品で、とにかくなつかしいですね。
個人的には本作と１作目が大好きです。
とにかく買いですよ。
