未だあまりメタル通ではなかった頃の僕はPANTERAジャンキーだったのですが、LIMP BIZKITにもハマリました。
あ〜、思い出すなぁ。凄く聴いてましたねぇ。LIMP BIZKIT。
あの頃はPANTERAよりも聴いてたと思います。それほどハマッテたんでしょうね。LIMP BIZKITに。
最近はメタルが廃れてラップがハヤッテますが、LIMPはラップ的なメロディがあるので、ラップ好きにもオススメ出来ます。

4.0 out of 5 stars へヴィロックの楽しみ方を再確認できる作品, 2006/4/30
Limp Bizkitの1Stアルバム。セカンド以降が有名だが、本作の炸裂度には及ばない。以降のアルバムではラップが前面に押し出されるのに対し、本作は、重量級ギターが前面に押し出される。これは、当初のLimp Bizkitが何に影響を受けていたのかを連想させるものではあるが、純粋なへヴィロックのみでない。これは、ジョージマイケルのFaithをカバーしているあたりでも伺える。Faithの大ヒットはLimp Bizkitを一躍有名にした。結成メンバーがJazzに造詣があるというところも興味深い。同じくJazzを通過したメンバにより構成されるへヴィロックバンドHELMETを思い出した。2nd以降に対し、混沌とした印象を受けるが、これこそロックの源泉だと考えると、良いと思える作品。

Linkin Parkなどと一緒に90年代後半からの2000年代のニューメタルウェーブを生み出し、
その一角にあって、今では悪名高くもあるLimp Bizkitことリンプの記念すべき1stアルバム。
(1)や(2)などを始めとした後の2nd、3ｒｄアルバムでは聴けないようなへヴィさが良い感じです。
フレッドのロックバンドらしからぬラップの上手さも彼らが売れた要因の一つなんでしょうね。
へヴィさは要らないから、もっとラップが多めの方が良い人は2nd、3ｒｄアルバムを聴いてみてはどうでしょうか？
