2枚組。プロモはマイケル・ジャクソンとマドンナが一番でその熱意とメッセージ性に感動する。「ベストヒット」は1990年の "Vogue" までを収録。おまけにMTVにおけるステージの "Vogue" が付いているが、これは衝撃的だった。「93-99」では "Ray of Light" が素晴らしい。大阪や東京の「コンフェッションズ」では「跳んで！跳んで！」と日本語で叫んでいた。プロモは、当初のきらびやかな見せ掛けのショービズから進化して行って、超人的パワーとスピードで肉体の美を見せる体操的なダンスとなった。バックダンサーとミュージシャンは国際化し、アフリカ系、ラテン系、アジア系、アラブ系などから実力のみで集められた。今や美男や美女という概念は無い。華燭な衣装すらない。彼らはその個性とお国柄を爆発させ、マドンナの舞台に圧倒的な奥行きと幅を持たせることとなった。彼らの母国の人も、どれだけマドンナを支持し、ファンになったことだろう。その過程が判るお買い得DVDです。

マドンナは良い意味でも悪い意味でも非常に影響力のあるアーティストであることはまず間違いはないと断言できる。過激な性描写で反社会的なイメージはあるものの社会問題＆様々な差別等、常に敏感であり、善し、悪しを充分に把握している女性であると同時に今、流行の”エロカッコイイ”の元祖でもある。そしてプロモヴィデオにおいても粒揃いであり、特に大ファンのデヴィッド・フィンチャー監督「ｓｅ7ｅｎ，ゲーム、ファイト・クラブ、パニック・ルーム、ゾディアック、ベンジャミン・バトン］のDISC１の（エクスプレス・ユア・セルフ）、（オー・ファーザー）、（ヴォーグ）、DISC２（バッド・ガール）でフィンチャー監督独特の映像美を堪能できる。一番有名なのが（ヴォーグ）で当時、ヴォ-ギング・ダンスと言われるダンスパフォーマンスは話題になった。個人的に一番好きな作品は（オー・ファーザー）で、マドンナ自身、幼少時代（母の病死、父との確執等）の実話を再現している。最初はなにかにつけ厳しい父に対して拒否反応があったりもしたが、後に成長したマドンナが最後に年老いた父と共に母の墓石の前で横に並び、カメラが横に流れるように撮影し十字架の墓標に隠れ、そして次のシーンでは幼少時代のマドンナに変わり楽しくにこやかに踊りながら終わる．．．。文句なし余韻の残る名作である。

マドンナに詳しくない私でもディスク１は充分に満足出来るラインナップです。
ラッキー・スター、ライク・ア・ヴァージン、etc・・・・・。
それに比べるとディスク２は知らない曲が大半な上、
バラード系なので個人的にはイマイチって感じでした。
ただ、これから視聴する事で知らなかったマドンナの魅力を知れるかもしれません。。。
