Album Details

Subtitled - Acoustic Performances from New York City 2004. This fan-club only CD features 21 tracks compiled from two sold-out acoustic shows at Fez in New York City. The tracks covers the first four of the band's albums, and also includes a couple of previously unreleased songs. Scottish indie-pop stalwarts the Trash Can Sinatras were founded outside of Glasgow in 1987 by singer/guitarist Frank Reader (the brother of ex-Fairground Attraction singer Eddi Reader), guitarists John Douglas and Paul Livingston, bassist George McDaid and drummer Stephen Douglas. The band made a truimphant return to the scene in 2004 with their release Weighlifting and a world tour which had them wowing old fans and gaining new ones with their stunning display of melody and emotion. 2004年に行われたNew Yorkでのアコースティックライヴです。最新アルバム「Weightlifting」からの楽曲中心ですが、初期のナンバーも数曲プレイされています。小さなクラブでの演奏故に、逆に素晴らしい楽曲の数々を、間近で聞いているような臨場感があります。実に贅沢なプレゼントです。マイナーレーベルからのリリースなので、入手出来るうちに購入しておくことをオススメします。

「公式サイトでアメリカツアーの音源ダウンロードしたから、別に買わなくてもいいかなぁ」などと思っていましたが、こちらの方が落ち着いたかんじで、じっくりと聞かせてくれます。
寒い夜に暖かいものを飲みながら、聞きたい一枚です。
近いうちに日本でもこんな素晴らしいライブを見たいものです。
