Around The World をドラマのエンディングで聴いたときは軽いショックを受けました。日本人離れした日本語の発音とアジアンなメロディー。グループ名は「Monkey Majik」と来れば、35歳以上の人なら何だろこの人たちと思うハズ。この曲が気になる人は「eastview」も気になるアルバムだと思います。個人的に全曲外れなく聞けます。ドライブのお供に、携帯に入れてちょっと一息のＢＧＭに。最近の音楽のジャンルにはあまり造詣が深くないのですが、いろんなテイストの曲が入っていてあきません。J-POPと言うよりは洋楽に近いのではないでしょうか？

個人的にはOne moment、All my life、Insideなんか好きです。
洋楽好きな人でもイケると思いますよ。

One momentはBESTで既に聴いてるんだけど、いきなりあのドラムから始まるっていうのはまた印象が違ってハッっとする。あんまりにもカッコ良くてヤラレタ！て感じ。

その後に続く曲もどれもこれもカッコいいし、1曲4分ぐらいにコンパクトにまとめらているからあっという間に1枚トータルで聴けてしまう。このアルバムから元々ソウル & ファンクのバンドにいたDICKがサポートに入った（今は正式加入？）ことで、MONKEY MAJIKに新たな魅力が加わったし、他のメンバーもその変化を楽しんでいる感じが伝わってくる＜特にOne momentのドラム & 1996のギター。あと、Livin' in the Sunの民謡をサンプリングするアイデアもすごく曲に合っていて、この曲がマイベスト10に入る人も多いはず。

歌詞が日本語 & 英語のミックスが少ないのは残念だけど、新しい試みがどれもハマってるし、アルバムとしての統一感が心地良くて完成度が高い。
