三国志３をベースにしているが、DS向けに手直しした点が満載。
絵は綺麗（５あたりの絵か？）だし、新武将に新君主はかなり作れるし、
武将ファイル（自分が配下にした武将のデータはマスクデータも全て見られる。コレクター心をそそる）も完備している。
戦闘も３の単調になりがちだった戦闘に武将のスキルによる多彩な計略が
追加されて逆転や独自性が出せるようになっている。戦闘期間も一月
２０日となってやりやすくなった。
そして知力１００以上の軍師の助言は相変わらず１００パーセントと言う
ありがたいバグもそのまま。３をベースに、全てがパワーアップした
楽しみ方が出来るだろう。
しかし、しかしなんといってもインターフェイスが素晴らしい！！
ボタン操作全く無しで、ホントにタッチペンだけで快適にゲームを楽しめる！
この快適さはDS全てのソフト中でも一二を争うのではなかろうか。
ホントにおすすめです。
コーエーさん、貴社は本来こういうソフトが出せるメーカーなんですよね？
信長も期待してますよ！！

過去発売の三国志を元に「オリジナル」「オーソドックス」「チャレンジ」と三種のゲームが用意され
オリジナル武将作成などやりこみ要素が多く、DSにしては良く出来ているなと思える

難易度も一部を除けば比較的低めに設定されており、PC版経験者以外でも三国志の世界に入り込める

欠点としてはタッチパネルを利用した戦闘や内政の操作性と敵AIの弱さか
戦闘マップなんかは1マスが小さいため、一度でキレイに進軍走路を決めにくかったりしてちょっと苛々
敵AIは難易度を上げでもよほど不利でない限り勝ててしまうという…

パワーアップキットなどが無いとやはりちょっとした不満が残りますが
DSでは及第点、星は四つです

　ＤＳというレベルで考えればかなり内容が詰まった作品だと思います。コーエー作品を長年プレーしているユーザーにとってはかなりの垂涎でしょうか。
　但し、それはコーエーマニアの方々に言えることで、コーエー作品を一度でもかじってないとかなり難しい作品と言えます。ＤＳでプレーするにはかなり重たい内容で、易しいレベルでプレーをしても、想像以上に難しいです。三国志マニア、コーエーマニア向けの作品です。
