かれこれ15年以上愛用していますが、
とにかく信頼性の高さと火力の強さが魅力です。
実はこれまでメンテナンスを一度もしたこと無いのですが（苦笑）
それでもいつも素晴らしい性能を発揮してくれます。
以前、数年放置していたにも関わらず、
何の不調もなくそのまま使えたときは流石に驚きました。
構造が極めてシンプルなので、トラブル知らずなのが良いですね。
ポンプをシュコシュコ動かすのを面倒がる人が居るみたいですが
私は逆にその操作に味があって好きです。
たった20回くらいシュコシュコするだけですが、気分が盛り上がりますよぉ。

強風のキャンプでも、このコールマンは力強い火力を発揮してくれ、
本当に頼もしい限りです。
ホワイトガソリンはランニングコストが少しだけ割高ですが、
その分、安定した火力と安心感が段違いですから
そう考えると私的には全然安価に感じますね。

初心者がまず買うべき一台かと。
それでいて上級者になってもいつも側にある、そんな名機です。

ガソリン・ストーブを初めて買う入門者にはクセも無く従順で良いストーブと思います。
火力も十分だし、取り扱いも容易です。
プレ・ヒート無しに短時間で火力が安定します。
但し、ジェネレーターが故障しやすく使用頻度が高いとススが増えてきたり火力が安定しなくなったりしてきます。ジェネレーターを交換すれば解決するのですが、意外にパーツの価格も高く、２回もジェネレーターを交換すると本体価格に匹敵する物になってしまいます。
給油の際、フィルターを使う事で若干は寿命も延びるかな？
それと燃料は純正を使いましょう、これも寿命を延ばすコツです。

　ガソリンのシングルストーブを購入するのであれば，まずこれを最初に購入することをオススメしたい。以後，携行性を重視してさらに小型のガスボンベ仕様の製品を購入したりするとき，このスポーツスターIIが最高の比較対象となります。
　そこそこの大きさがあって安定感があり，燃料は途中給油が可能なガソリン，連続2時間確実に使える大容量，寸胴で10人前のカレーを調理することさえもできる火力と，あらゆる意味で「万能」なストーブと言えます。
　キャンプ以外でも，例えば，バンガローや貸別荘のウッドデッキのテーブルで食事・・・というとき，テーブルの上の熱源として大活躍。鍋物だってできてしまいます。けっこうな風にさらされても失火しませんので，釣りに持って行くとこれまた大活躍(コーヒーいれたり，カップ麺作ったり)。別売りのヒーターアタッチメントを使えば，手元暖房にもなります。
　入門者はもちろんのこと，玄人でも性能に不満を感じることはないでしょう。これで不満なら，ツーバーナーコンロを用意する以外にありません。
