ヘリコプターのR/Cと言えば、十万円~数十万円もする高価な物で、まともに操縦するにも相当な訓練を必要とする「かなりマニアックな分野」の遊びです。

商品の写真を見たり、説明を読むと、そんな遊びが5千円にも満たない価格で遊べてしまうように思え、画期的な商品のように捉えられがちです。

しかしこの商品、実際は『電動の竹とんぼ』といった方が正しいです。

コントロールが可能なのは、垂直方向へのみ。
空中に浮かせて、出力ボタンの調節で空中静止させるといった楽しみはありますが、「R/C」という言葉からつい連想してしまうような、前進、後退、旋回といった空中機動はできません。
飛んでいる姿もタケコプターほど優雅ではありません。バタバタ！ストーン（!?）というカンジ。

あまり期待して購入すると、思ったより「飽き」がくるのが早いと思います。

ただ、子供に与える事を考えた場合には、この不自由さがかえって「安全」ともいえますよね。
そして、オモチャに二重反転ローターのしくみが実装された事だけは地味ながら画期的です。機械的な構造を知ることに喜びが見出せる方であれば、値段からみて十分なシロモノと言えます。
　例えば、なぜこの商品にはこの二重反転のしくみが必要なのかを、親子で考えてみるのは、教育上とても有意義で楽しいひとときが過ごせる事と思います。
さらに「ヘリコプターがなぜ飛ぶことができているのか」「もっと自由に動かすにはどんな仕組みが必要か」など、子供に自発的な興味をもたせる良いキッカケになるのかもしれません。

ドラえもんが上昇・下降するだけで横に移動はしませんが、
子供にはこれで十分でしょう。

しかし、その操作性は、広い外で遊ぶのには問題ないのですが
室内で飛ばすとなると　上下のバランスを保つのが難しいです。

室内で子供が遊ぶのはお奨めできないですね。

初めて飛ばしたときは「うわ、飛んだ。すごい。」と思いましたが、
大人には物足りないです。
操作性、動きにもう少し工夫が欲しかったなあ。
これから改良型が出てくれるのでは、とひそかに期待しています。

子ども（５歳・６歳）は大喜びです。
一人が飛ばして、もう一人は落ちてきたところを巧くキャッチする係になって、
遊んでいます。
単純なことですが、飽きることなく楽しんでいます。
飛ぶラジコンは操作が難しいものが多いので、子どものおもちゃとしては、
コレくらいがよいかもしれません。
