今回のこのtwo disc スペシャルエディションは買って後悔しません。
本編には、副音声でデビー・レイノルズ、ドナルド・オコーナー、スタンリー・ドーネンの音声解説が入っていて、一緒に見ているような気になります。
そして、特典映像が素晴らしい。
特典映像の"Musical Great Musical"は以前NHKで放送されたドキュメンタリーで、MGMでのアーサー・フリードが果たした役割が描かれています。
『雨に唄えば』だけではなく、フリードの関わった映画がほとんど出てきます。
音声特典のステージセッションは、音声だけですが、レコーディングの様子が伝わってきます。
特典映像はもっとありますが、今のところこれしか見ていません。
とにかく、これだけの特典映像付きは、かなりお得と言えるでしょう。

全く内容は知らなかったけど、タイトルも歌も
やたらと有名だったので買って見てみました！！
笑いあり涙ありの恋愛モノで、
最近の技術を使ったミュージカルではなく、
これぞ元祖ブロードウェイミュージカル！という感じで
すごく好きです！！キャシーの愛らしいこと◎
あの有名な歌「singin' in the rain」はどんなシーンで
登場するのかと思っていたら、
「なるほどココか！」と納得です。笑えます！
さらに「make'em laugh」や「good morning」も
オススメ（＾＾）ダンスもすごいし、
ドナルド・オコナーの存在感が光ります◎
とにかく文では良さを説明できないので、
見てください！特にヘコんだ時には必見！！

サイレントからトーキーへの転換期。一見華やかで楽しい映画なのだが、時代に取り残されてしまう人もいて、それとなく悲哀も感じさせる。
雨の中を唄い踊る有名なシーンは秀逸。
