2002年8月7日ミニアルバム「day after tomorrow」とシングルDVD「faraway」でデビュー。
同年12月31日には「日本レコード大賞」新人賞を受賞。
2005年5月、個人の音楽活動をさらにステップアップさせていくため、ベストアルバムを最後に「day after tomorrow」としての活動休止を発表。この間にシングル11枚、ミニアルバム2枚、フルアルバム3枚をリリース。

2005年5月、活動休止を発表したday after tomorrowがファンの為に現在まで発表した51曲全ての音源と映像を網羅した究極の「complete Best」が完全限定生産で登場。
同時発売される「single Best」にも収録される未発表曲やタイで収録したLIVEメイキングなどの未発表映像を4枚のCDと2枚のDVDに収録。

残念ながら2005年の夏で活動休止してしまったday after tomorrowのコンプリートベスト。3年間に出してきたすべての楽曲・ビデオクリップ・ライブ映像が収められているので、「よくデイアフを知らない」という人や「あまりデイアフのCDを持っていない」人にとっては、お得だと思います。
一方、ファン(自分もそうですが)にとっても、「CCCDじゃないので音質が良い 」「改めて彼らの良さを再確認出来る」「特典映像(インタビュー)が見れる」「ブックレットが比較的充実している」という点で、買う価値はあると思います。
ただ、それならなぜ5000セット限定にしたのか、その意図が見えてこないと感じるのは自分だけでしょうか(ある意味それがエイベックスなのかもしれませんが)…

自分は、このグループから、夢や感動、時には仲間や激励など、様々な定型に還元し得ない、人生において大切なモノを貰ったような気がします。
その集大成と言っても過言ではないであろうこの作品からは、きっとこのグループの曲を聞いた事が無い方でも、人生において定型に還元し得ない、何かを得られるかもしれません。

そのような『不定形の大切なモノ』を得られるとあれば、8000円という値段は安いものであろうが、やはり売り方はあまり良い売り方のように思えず、この作品としては☆５つのところを、メーカー側の売り方に反発を覚えたということで、やむを得ず☆４つに致しましたが、この作品は非常にオススメです。
day after tomorrowやその楽曲がが好きという方は勿論ですが、まだこのグループの楽曲に触れてない方、特に何か不定形な大切なモノを得たいと思った方には、是非オススメの商品かと思います

どうしても、これが欲しいんだけどどこも売り切れ；；
通販だと出品価格が２万・・。増産おねがいします！
ぜひともほしいです！すべてのdatグッズもってますが、これだけ出遅れてしまいました・・・。もっともっと増産してー！！！
