小学校の家庭科で学習したことを半分くらい覚えている程度ですが，箱を開けて10分ほどで，説明書もあんまり読まずに使いこなすことができました。糸かけなどは通す順番がミシンに直接書いてありますし，昔(20年前)のミシンに比べたら非常に簡単です。
できればオプションのフットコントローラーがあればもっと使いやすくなるかと思いますが，非常に快適に動きます。

ただ，ジーンズの裾上げをしたのですが，下糸が強すぎるのを調節しきれませんでした。太い糸だとボビン周りの滑りが硬くなってしまうのでしょうか？糸調子の調節つまみを端までいっぱいに回しても無理です。
上糸の縫い目が表に出るように縫えば見た目には大丈夫なのですが，それでは本質的な解決にはならないのでちょっと困っています。

それからケースが塩ビっぽい袋を上から掛けるだけのタイプですので，その状態での持ち運びがいささか不便です。

まあ，安価なミシンだと割り切ってしまえば，その他の要素に関して言えば非常に使いやすいので，決して悪い買い物ではなかったと思っています。

母はずっとジャノメのミシンを愛用していて、今回の前のもジャノメでした。
新しい機能はとても気に入って、使い方も前の物とほとんど変わってないので使い易いみたいですが、
縫う速度をもっと遅いのが良いとか、すごく薄い布がサクサク縫えたらもっと良かったのに…だそうです。

上糸掛け、下糸ボビン巻き取りはやり易くなってますが針通しは自分でしたほうが簡単です。布押さえ金具の部分に説明の字が書いてますが小さい板に細かく書いてあるので真上からは見え難く役に立たず。説明ＤＶＤはちかちか見難くいらつきました。以前使用してたシンガーのコンパクトミシンと大体同じでしたが普段使用には不便は無いので良しとしてます。値段も安いです。
