英語の歌詞が減ったこともあり、パーソナルな内容の曲が多く、全体的にこじんまりとした印象。
初期の頃のような元気に飛ばしたロック、強烈な個性を期待して聴くと裏切られるかもしれないが、
彼女の素朴さや親近感がより分かりやすい方向に出ていて、とても好感の持てるアルバムだと思う。

初めて矢井田がいいと思った。

歌手としてのナチュラルなスケール感は今の日本の女性の中でもトップ･クラスなのだと、いまさらながら認識しました（すみません、ファンの方）。でも、どうしてだろう。シンプルなことかも。自分の歌いたい歌を歌っている、ということだろう。ヒット曲を持つ歌手はファンからも業界からもそれを要求される。それに答えようとして窮屈な曲が増えてしまう。彼女にはそんな感じを抱いていた。

でもこのアルバムで彼女はそんなしがらみを捨てた気がする。勇気がいるけどこれで彼女は10年後まで歌えるはず。HEATWAVE、KILAなどの異種格闘技をそれほど大げさに取り上げるよりは、11の「ビルを見下ろす屋上で」のような歌の素直な世界に浸りたい気分。今更かもしれませんが・・・ずっと附いてきます。

一聴して、Yaikoの成長ぶりを存分に示したアルバムだ、と感じた。
ライブで盛り上がるような弾けた曲調はやや息を潜めた感じだが、その分、聴くほどに味わい深いラインナップ。
初心者に初めてオススメするアルバムではない感じだが、今までずっとYaikoを聴いてきたファンには満足できる内容だと思う。

「モノクロレター」は切なくて心打たれます。
あと、「月を見ていた」の”I'm not afraid of anything”のフレーズが妙に気に入っています。
