ジャマイカの陸上選手デリースは、オリンピック予選のゴール直前で隣の選手に巻き込まれて転倒してしまい、オリンピック出場の夢は露と消えた。あきらめきれないデリースは、ボブスレーでオリンピックに出場することを決意！親友のサンカ、同じく予選で転倒してしまったユルとジュニアの４人で練習に励むのだが。・・・雪のない国で男たちの戦いが始まった！
笑えて、気分がスッキリするスポーツ・コメディの決定版だと思います！1988年のカルガリー・オリンピックで常夏の国から、冬季五輪のボブスレー競技に参加したジャマイカチームの実話を、テンポよく見せてくれています。ジャマイカの選手たちもそれぞれ悩んだり葛藤があったりで、単なるコメディ作品に終わっていないのも魅力。雪に慣れない環境や他国の選手からの嘲笑など、数々の困難を乗り越えていく中で、友情や自信、誇りや情熱が芽生えていく過程には胸が熱くなりました。
随所に爆笑シーンを散りばめながらも、たくさんの大切なことを訴えるメッセージ性があって、観る度に心があったかくなります。ボブスレーに乗ってオリンピックという夢に向かってまっしぐらに進む選手たちに向かって、心からの拍手を送らずにはいられませんでした。

この映画はいい！

ジャマイカンの陽気さ、健気さ、底抜けの天真爛漫さが厭味なく描かれていて、他国との視線にもひるまずチャレンジする姿にけっこう感動してしまいました。

実際は映画とずいぶん異なるようですが、それでもこの映画こそ、今全ての国々が忘れかけている「オリンピア」精神を表現していると思います。

あまり期待せず、「あー、これ、昔話題だったよな」程度の気持ちで観たからか、本当にけっこう・・感動しました。

満点です。

ディズニーらしい、笑いあり、涙あり、感動ありで後味のよい傑作映画です。
陸上競技でオリンピック出場の夢を絶たれた主人公が、仲間を集めて、
荒んだコーチを巻き込み、ボブスレーでカルガリーオリンピックを目指します。
何とか代表権を獲得し、出場したオリンピックで大旋風を巻き起こすというものです。
正にゼロからの出発。
オリンピック予選では、南国のジャマイカ人として他国の選手からバカにされます。
いくつかの苦難を乗り越え、成長した４人が実に素晴らしい。
最後は、感動の嵐が待っています。涙なくして見れませんよ！！
差別、偏見、それらを跳ね返すジャマイカチームに拍手喝采です。
似たようなスポーツ物語を日本の作品でも観たような気がします。
そう、カーリングのシムソンズですね。
クール・ランニング、ぜひファミリーでお楽しみください！！
ただし、ＤＶＤの画質は今ひとつですが、そこは我慢してくださいね。
