音質に関しては、持っているのならば状態のよい「しおしお」「でんご」のLP・EP盤を、
性能の良いレコードプレイヤーで聴いたほうがずっと良い音で聴けます。
この音質はおそらく、製品版レコードをマスターとして録音したものです。
マスターテープが失われたからだと推測されます。どうしようもないです。


ただ、内容自体は、作りこみすぎ感のあるデビュー以降の音源に比べ、
低予算一発録音で作られたものなので、ライブでの演奏の雰囲気や、
曲そのものの素朴さが明確に現れてます。
1st「さんだる」が聴きにくかった人にも良いのではないでしょうか。
i-podなどに落とすと、音質の悪さもそんなに気にならなくなるでしょう。

…なお、「しおしお」と「でんご」を「CDで」持っているならば(2000年頃の再発/超レア)、
この盤はコレクターさん以外は改めて買う必要はありません。
ライナーもなんもなし、音もリミックス等は全くされていません。
ライナー入るか、せめてリマスター等してくれれば良かったのですが…

また、LPやEPで持っていて、自分でエンコードができるのであれば、
ご自分で作られることをお勧めします。
正直、ブート盤の悪い方レベルに、ノイズが入ってます。
高音部の音質も最悪です。元のレコードではそんなことないのですが。

「さよなら人類」でおなじみのたまの、インディーズ時代の作品集。
はっきり言って、すごい。生の雰囲気が出まくりです。
インディーズ時代の「方向音痴」「夏の前日」「東京パピー」「さよなら人類」は、メジャーデビュー後以上の名アレンジです。
ただし音質は悪い。そこで星一つ減点。でも、だからこそ生の雰囲気があるのかもしれません。

解散後にたまの音楽を知った者です。

一発録りの雰囲気がばしばし伝わってきて（実際はどうなんだか分かりませんが）生々しい名盤です。
声が前面に押し出されているような録音で、エコーが少なく、さながら小さなライブハウスで聴いているような気になってきます。私の目の前にははっきりとたまが現れました。
知久氏の曲はいまだ発展途上の感ですが、その分、柳原・石川、両氏のはちきれんばかりの狂気が充満して目茶苦茶に良いのです。
見せ物小屋的な、なんか見ちゃいけないもの見ちゃった感があり、そういうのを求めるアングラ好きとしてはたまりません。歌詞が縦書き現代詩なのも嬉しかったり。
ロックで……くそう。本当に、当時に出会いたかった。
