本編は、同じです（ピクチャーレーベルが異なります）。おまけのディスクが違います。
スペシャルエディションは、ボーナスディスクに’神尾さんち’と’交響曲AIR〜神話への誘い〜’のCD２枚です。こちらは、プロモーション映像、TVスポット映像の入ったボーナスディスクのDVD１枚と、絵コンテとシナリオが書かれた本１冊です。
どちらがお得という物ではないでしょう。本編だけ欲しい方は、劇場版AIR(通常版)をお勧めします。おまけまで欲しい方は、がんばってスペシャルエディションとコレクターズエディションの両方を買うべきでしょう。

原作とは全然違って、そこにちょっと最初は引きました。
往人の人形劇が儲かってる！晴子がいいお母さんだ！観鈴と晴子が仲良し！
って具合に、原作を知っている側からすれば「え、ちょっと待って」と思わず言いたくなる設定。
しかしストーリーはすごく良かったと思います。

90分という短い時間の中、よくあのAIRというストーリーをここまでオリジナルにすることが出来たな、と思います。
この短い中でもし原作に忠実に作品を作り上げていたら、多分「中身がすっからかん」って事態になっていたんじゃないかと。
しかしこの劇場版、ちゃんと90分でここまでの出来ってのは、よく考えたらすごいと思いませんか？

確かに最後の「ゴール」なんて原作知らない方が見たら「何であそこでゴールなの？」と思うだろうし、原作知ってても「これ強引じゃない？」と思ってしまう。現に私はそう思いました。
しかしそこに至るまでの経緯は素晴らしいと思う。
観鈴の寂しさ、晴子の葛藤、往人の迷い。これは、原作よりもずっとリアルに描かれていたと思います。人間らしさがあって。
ちょくちょくと佳乃や美凪といったサブキャラがいたりして、私的には嬉しかった。ポテトも可愛かったと思います。
音楽もアレンジで良かった。イメージソングも綺麗で良かったと思います。

スペシャルエディションのドラマCDとかも気になりますが、私はこっちを購入しました。
コンテが個人的にはすごかった。このような「映画」のコンテ画って初めて見ましたが、とても勢いがあって面白い。結構厚さがあるのでじっくり見てみたいと思います。

これは以前の評にもあるようにDVDビデオです。
このコレクターズ・エディションは「あしたのジョー」「エースをねらえ！」「宝島」などで知られる出崎統監督のコンテを完全収録した分厚いブックレットが付属しています。その特性上、この商品は原作ファンよりは出崎監督のファンの為の企画だと考えてよいと思います。
原作ファンは無理に買わなくてよいと思いますが、出崎監督のファンならこのセットには魅力があるのではないでしょうか？
