この商品は、ゴジラシリーズの記念すべき第一作に登場した初代ゴジラの着ぐるみを、忠実に再現しています。初代ゴジラは、観る角度によって顔の造作や全身のバランスなどが違って見える、魅力的な着ぐるみでしたが、それを、このサイズで見事に再現した商品は、他にないと思いますよ。

　香山滋原作、そして１９５４年の映画「ゴジラ」に登場した、その名もゴジラのソフビです。姿を見る限り、全体のイメージは恐竜、頭を正面から見るときのこ雲の形、背びれが放射能の光………当時の時代背景をイメージしたキャラクターとしては最高水準になるのではないでしょうか。

　しかし全体の姿を右側から見てみると、なぜか日本列島のシルエットに似てくるんです………どういうことでしょう？
