非常に美しい曲が満載の一枚だと思います。

前半のバンドスタイル，後半のアコースティック，
どちらも曲の良さを引き出しているような感じがして良いです。

ディランをまだ聴いたことが無い人はここから入っても良いかなと･･･

｢ラヴ・マイナス・ゼロ／ノー・リミット｣の美しさは，
彼の曲の中でも５本の指に入ると思いますよ。

　ここ最近、Bob Dylanを聴きまくった。本作と次の追憶のハイウェイ６１、ブロンド〜、血の轍、復活ライブ、ローリングサンダー、欲望、武道館等など。結論から言えば自分にとっては本作が最高のできばえだった。５０を超えてもなお胸に訴えてくる歌詞だ。凄い作品だと思う。次の追憶のハイウェイ６１も匹敵する。最高傑作との評価が一般的なブロンド・オン〜は何も感じなかった。チャチなドラムが一層この作品の至らなさを表しているし、内容は只の失恋歌ばかり。これを最高という皆さんはいったいどういう耳を持って聴いているのか不思議だ。Bob Dylanを聴くのなら本作と次作だろう。あとは好き好きだ。

ボブ・ディランというミュージシャンは、本来フォークとかロックとかそういう範疇で語るべきミュージシャンではないというのが、私の持論なのである。とはいえディランがフォークというシンプルなスタイルのミュージシャンだと思わせてデビューしたという事実までは否定できない。そのためエレキ・ギターを持ってステージに立ったディランに、「裏切り者！」とファン達は罵声を浴びせたりもした。そんなにいやならコンサートにいかなきゃいいのにと私は思うのだが、当時のフォーク好きアメリカ人の行動は私にはディランの歌詞以上に難解である。ところがそういう歴史の点だけを捕らまえて語ると、ディランは意地悪なまでに急激な変化したと思われがちだが、なかなかそこにいきつくまでに苦労をしている。その苦労が分かるのがこのアルバムである。エレクトリックな音とアコースティックな音の楽曲をアルバムに収めて、「そろそろエレキいいかな？」とファンに気を使っている姿が手に取るように分かる。ああ〜、今では神様仏様稲尾様並みの存在のディランも案外元は苦労人だったんだなぁというのがよ〜く分かる一枚である。
