アメリカ制覇に向けて楽曲の幅を広げたい、というバンド側の意向により、声域が狭くアクの強い看板ボーカリスト”ウド・ダークシュナイダー”がクビになり、新たにアメリカ人ボーカリスト”デビット・リース”を加入させて製作された、一枚限りの奇跡的な化学反応を起こしている作品。発売当時は賛否両論というより、圧倒的に”否”の意見の方が多かったように記憶している。
デビット・リースのボーカルは、バンドの目指している方向性に合致したボーカリストをオーディションで選んだだけのことはあり、どの楽曲にも非常によくマッチしている。ＣＤの解説中にも記述されているが、ＨＲ／ＨＭのボーカリストに何が求められているかを教えてくれているようだ。アクセプトのファンの方で食わず嫌いをしている人がいたら、是非聴いてもらいたい。悲しいかな、良くも悪くもそのバンドの個性を作ってきたオリジナルメンバーを交代させると、いくらクオリティの高い作品を作っても、もはや別のバンドのようになってしまい、ファンが離れてしまうという見本となってしまった。後年、モトリー・クルーにジョン・コラビが加入した時のアルバムでもそんな感じを覚えた。
８０年代末期にアメリカ制覇の夢を見たドイツのＨＲ／ＨＭバンドが残した一枚限りの名盤である。もし、別のバンド名を名乗っていれば、ファンにもまた違う受け入れられ方をしただろう・・。
