これは１９８５年に行われた名古屋公演の一発録音盤です。オリジナル発売当時、ＨＭ専門誌ＢＵＲＲＮ！で９９点を取った伝説のライブアルバムです。いつまた廃盤になるか分らないので、欲しい人は迷わずカートに入れましょう。
「ＫＡＩＺＯＫＵ-ＢＡＮ」というタイトルやジャケットのアートワークが日本との特別な関係を物語っています。収録曲が６曲と少ないですが、間奏で「エリーゼのために」を取り入れたＨＭアンセム的な曲”メタル・ハート”に始まり、バンド史上最もポップな曲”スクリーミング・フォー・ア・ラブバイト”など、このバンドの魅力をうまくあらわしているバランスの良い選曲です。演奏も全盛期のものなので、非の打ち所がありません。
ただ、最大の問題点は同年の大阪公演を丸ごと収録した２枚組ライブ「ステイング・ア・ライフ」が後に発売されてしまった（今回のリマスター・シリーズでも再発されてます）ことでしょう。なんと全曲重複していますので、こちらはまるでダイジェスト版みたいです。今となっては完全にマニア向けのコレクター・アイテムです。
実際に演奏や音質もほとんど同じで、”スクリーミング・フォー・ア・ラブバイト”の前のＭＣで「なごや~」と叫んでいるか「おおさか~」と叫んでいるかを聞かないと簡単には区別つきません。
このアクセプトというバンド、キャリアが長い割には日本国内でベスト盤が発売されていませんので、手っ取り早く代表曲を知りたい方には「ステイング・ア・ライフ」の方をオススメします。
