THE BOOMのメジャーデビューアルバム。
ホコ天で演奏していた曲をアルバムとして構成したもので、アマチュア時代の集大成とも言えるかもしれない。
デビュー15年を超えてもライブで唄われ、決して古さを感じさせない曲の集まりでもある。
初めて聴いて、「なんじゃ？」と思っても、繰り返し聴いていると、曲の持つ独特の雰囲気が病み付きになるかも。

特に「不思議なパワー」は、今でもチカラを与えてくれる不思議な曲です。

２００９年で２０周年を迎えるBOOMですが、実は僕はごく最近BOOMファンになった人間です。
BOOM=沖縄とか結びつけて考えていた者の一人ですが、ガラリと考えが変わり、いまではこのファーストアルバムを探して購入するまでになりました。
「おりこうさん」や「雨の日風の日」をついつい口ずさんでしまいます。
