DOD2が発表されてまず期待したのは音楽でした。
発売までに何曲かデモなどで流されましたが、どれも素晴らしかった。
あ~この音楽にのってプレイするのかぁ！と期待満々でした。
そして遂に発売したのですが、あまりの出来栄えにコントローラーを動かす手が止まってしまう。

コンポーザーが変わりましたが前作のダークさを上手いこと引き継いでいて
それでいて前作より華々しく、映画で流れてそうな重厚感に溢れてます。
「尽きる」のアレンジも妖しい感じや、憂いを帯びたものとあり、満足でした。

正直ゲームで流れる音楽は何となくおまけ的なイメージでしたが
これについてはハッキリいって音楽でゲームが盛り立てられてると言っても過言ではないかもしれません。
ゲーム音楽の枠に収まらない感じがします。

実際の曲はもうソフトで聴けたりＴＶで流れてたりしてるので、期待はかなり大きいです。
全体的に曲想が豊かで、クラシックをベースにジャズからオーケストラ、トリッキー、ケルト系まで取り揃えた曲構成にうなること間違いなし。
使用されたソフトの好評価の一因は、確実にこの音楽が担っていました。
個人的に、交響詩「禁断の序曲」と尽きるのアレンジヴァージョンがオーディオで聴けることが何よりも楽しみです。

ＤＯＤ２が発売されると聞いて、何が楽しみだったかってそりゃもう音楽ですよ。ええ。

そして、聞いた感想は・・・イイ！！サウンド最高！！！もう鼻血で前が見えなくなる程の素晴らしさ！
オーケストラの重厚なストリングスが悲しみ、絶望、それでも抗い、もがいて進む感が伝わってきて、
待ってましたっ！と膝をたたいてしまいそうな出来栄えです。

前作のおどろおどろしさ６割減の為、毎日聞いても気持ちが沈まない程度のダークさ加減が◎。
あと、今回は「禁断の序曲」、「追憶は狂気」などＤＯＤらしさ満点のタイトルが付いているのが嬉しいです。
(前作は第○章上空、第○章地上、などもっと他にねえのかよっ！ていうようなのでしたから・・・）

一つ不満は、公式ＨＰで「尽きる」の英語Ｖｅｒが流れていたので、収録されているかと期待してたのですが無かったのが残念無念。
