遂にこのアルバムもCD化ですか!!(嬉しい・・　２０年以上待ちました・・)
何故かレビューには'71の作品となっていますが、'81の作品ですね。
80sに入って人気に翳りが出始めていたフランプトンさんの、隠れた名作と思うんですけどね・・・
スティーヴ・ルカサーさんやジェフ・ポーカロさんを全編に招いての、AOR的な湿り気のある楽曲と、相変わらずの屈託のない美メロ・フランプトン節がブレンドされた捨て曲なしな内容となっていますね。
ハイライトはタイトル曲なのでしょうが、どこを取っても素晴らしいです~。

１９８１年リリース・・・リリース当時、「ギタリストとしてのピーターフランプトン」を強調したアルバムだったと記憶します。個人的に聴き込んでいたミュージシャンではなく、あくまでＴＯＴＯ絡みの理由で購入した１枚でした・・・しかしながら聴けば聴くほど嵌って行ったアルバムで、アナログはとにかくヘヴィローテーションでしたね。いままでＣＤ化されなかったのが、本当不思議です・・・まあセールス的には厳しかったはずなので、放っておかれたのかなあ（涙）。おそらくピーターフランプトンのソロアルバムの中では、一番ロックな仕上りと言えるでしょう・・・ライナーを見ると、ほとんどライブで録音されているようで、いじくらないバンド然としたサウンドがとにかく良いです（曲もいい！！）。メンバーは、ジョンリーガン（Ｂ）・アーサーステッド（Ｋｅｙ）そしてジェフポーカロ（Ｄｒ）・スティーヴルカサー（Ｇ）・・・正直スティーヴルカサーのプレイは、私は「どれ？」という印象で、むしろプレイよりもピーターへのアドヴァイザーとしての役割が大きかったと感じます。正直中だるみは少々ありますが、１曲目「ＤＩＧＷＨＡＴＩＳＡＹ」でハードに決めて、ラストのタイトルトラック「ＢＲＥＡＫＩＮＧＡＬＬＴＨＥＲＵＬＥＳ」でカッコよく締め括るので、アルバム全体がうまく引き締まっています・・・特に後者でのギターソロはなんか危ういながらも（笑）、「俺はギタリスト！」を主張していてこのアルバムへの意気込みが伝わってきます。次作「ＴＨＥＡＲＴＯＦＣＯＮＴＲＯＬ」は聴いた事がないので、是非ＣＤ化をお願いしたいですね！！
