談春七夜頃から、手放しに談春を礼賛する評論をよく目にするようになった。この手放し礼賛について行けない。彼を取り巻く、金儲け主義連中の宣伝効果につられているように思えてならない。上手いし、様々な難しい演目にチャレンジしていることは認めるけど、そんなに凄いかね。談春と並ぶ、あるいはそれ以上の咄家は、現代でもいると思うけどね。解説書に「談春さえいれば他の落語家はいらない」とあったけど、そうなったら落語界、本当につまらなくなるだろうね。

立川談春の上手さは、秀でている。
このCDを聞けば、分かる人には分かる。
そして、この時代に生きている喜びをかみしめる。
無論、分からない人でも、楽しめる。
だがおそらく、談春にとって今は過程に過ぎない。
どこへ行くのか、どこまで行くのか。
家元ですら、分かるまい。
願わくば談春よ、遠慮せずに、これからじゃんじゃん
CDやDVDを矢継ぎ早に出してくれ。
CDを出したくても出せない、あまたの後輩のがいるかぎり、
あるいはその噺を聞きたい人がいるかぎり。
出し続けることは、談春たるものの務めであり、義務です
らある！

昨年落語家生活２０周年を記念して行われた独演会で収録された、
「九州吹き戻し」と「文七元結」の豪華２枚組です。
文語調のセリフが多く、展開もダイナミックな噺、
「九州吹き戻し」を、談春師は見事に演じきっています。
「文七元結」も見事！のひと言。
登場人物の感情を憎らしいほど表現しています。
「２０年目の収穫祭」というタイトルの通り、
このCDも私にとっては「大収穫」です。
（ボーナストラックとして、「家元のお墨付き」も収録されています。）
