そう言っても過言ではない・・・と言うか、実際そのつもりで作ったんでしょう
そのつもりなんだろうけど、どちらかと言うと隠れた名曲として扱われることが多い「モンキー・オン・マイ・バック」や「ホール・イン・マイ・ソウル」が入っているのはファンにはうれしいですね
前者は「狂気」を、後者は「哀愁」を、強く強く感じさせてくれます

収録曲はアルバム「Aerosmith」〜「Nine Lives」までで、有名なアルマゲドンのテーマ曲「I Don't Want To Miss A Thing」や「Just Push Play」以降のアルバム収録の曲は入っていません
で、内容ですが「流石はレコード会社の宣伝ではなく地道なライヴ活動でヒットしたバンドだなあ！」と言う感じ
全ての曲がスタジオアルバム収録時より良くなっている、それがはっきり判るバンドというのは中々数が少ないんじゃないでしょうか？

このライヴアルバムは、Live ! Bootleg以来のエアロスミス自身の意思によって発売されたライヴ盤です。プロデューサーは70年代の黄金時代のプロデューサーだったジャックダグラスです。ブートレグを名乗った前述のライヴ盤に対して、本ライヴ盤ではブートレグこそ名乗っていませんが、レーベル面に70年代の海賊盤を連想させるようなロゴがプリントされています。さてアルバムの内容ですが、エアロスミスのコンサートではお馴染の曲がズラリと並んでいます。まさに20世紀を締め括るエアロスミスのベストオブベスト盤と言っても差し支えないでしょう。勿論契約の関係上かカットされた曲もあるようですが、この圧倒的なヴォリュームの前にはその事実も霞んでしまいます。
正にエアロスミスの凄さを丸ごとパッケージした記録とすら呼べる作品です。

やっぱりドリーム・オン、ママキンはライブで聴くのが一番いいですね〜
エンジェルはイントロからちょっとイマイチな感じになってしまっていますが、そのほかの曲はすべてオリジナルをしのぐといっていいほどだと思います
やっぱり、長年活動している歌手の昔の名曲、音が古いのもありますから、そういった昔の名曲はライブ音源で聴くのが一番だと思います
知っている人もそのよさを再確認できると思いますよ♪
