　ラフマニノフの３番が、ものすごい録音の良さだ。５８年のカーネギーホールでのライブ。客席の咳も時々聞こえて、ライブ感は抜群。ピアノ、オケとも出てくる音の勢い、スピード感は、最新のデジタル録音の技術も霞ませる。歪みも全く無い（むしろ、スタジオ６０年録音のプロコフィエフのほうが歪みあり）。同じ頃の、ライブ録音はほとんどモノラルなのを考えると、アメリカという国の底力を思い知らされる。オケは、シンフォニー・オブ・ジ・エアーで、確か、元はトスカニーニのＮＢＣ交響曲楽団、熱く鋭く切り込んでくる。
　本シリーズ第３弾の中でも、第１のお薦め。「いい音」が聞きたければ、どうぞ。

☆RCA/LivingStereo SACD Hybrid シリーズ第３期の一枚です。
今回は１９５８年ニューヨーク・カーネギーホールでのライブレコーディングで、コンドラシン（指揮）シンフォニー・オブ・ジ・エアー（演奏）との競演です。
他のラフマニノフ・ライブSACDと比べてもクリアーで音に厚みがあり、最高の音質を誇っています。
さらにマルチチャンネルで聴いてみると、あたかもカーネギーホールにいるかのような空気間が伝わってくるようです。
ぜひラフマニノフピアノ協奏曲コレクションに加えて欲しい一枚です。
