高校生当時、アナログレコードで購入し、よく聴いていました。
あぁ、懐かしいサウンドですね。
当時のレコードジャケットの紙質が、薄くて妙に安っぽかったのを思い出しちゃいました。
しかし、ジャケットフォトのプロペラの前に立つ二人のかっこよさはそのままですね。
今回、ジェイ・グレイドンのリマスターで音も断然よくなったようです。
さわやかなアカペラから始まるカッコイイ”ストランデッド”をはじめ、
小粋なバラード”シュッド・ウィ・キャリー・オン”、
ヒットシングル”彼女はウェイト・フォー・ミー”、
アース・ウインド＆ファイアーも歌っていた”アフター・ザ・ラヴ・イズ・ゴーン”と
正に押し寄せる音の洪水ですね！！
これも８０’ｓマニア必携の作品です。

ご存じ！、と言うか、知ってる人は必ず知ってるジェイ・グレイドンとデヴィッド・フォスター（とトミー・ファンダーバーク）による超絶AORユニット「AIRPLAY」の（邦題）「ロマンティック」が25周年を迎える。「超」の付くスーパー・プロデューサーでもある二人が「ちょっとプロデュースし過ぎた」と反省するほど（笑）の完成度の高いアルバムです。「AORを代表する」とかって形容されることがよくあるけど、違うんだな、これこそがAORなんだよ！（断言）　いやぁ、これは本当に良く聴いた~。もちろんアナログLPもCDも持ってるけど、これは絶対に「買い」だね！　「買い」って言うか「待ってました！」って感じ。アレンジもプロデュースも演奏ももの凄いんだけど、音が小さいってのがこのアルバムの唯一にして最大の弱点だったんだよね。しかしその長年の不満が、ジェイ・グレイドンのリマスタリングによって、ついに、ついに解消される。AIRPLAYを知らないヒトもぜひ聴いて！（あんな曲やそんな曲のネタ元がギッシリ詰まってるよ！（笑））

最初にCD化されたものを持っていましたが約10年程前に今では疎遠になってしまった友人に貸して以来、その友人と共にこの作品とも疎遠になってました。
最近妙に聴きたくなったので購入したのですが、やっぱりイイですね!
洗礼され成熟された音楽を楽しむ…そう思わせる一枚です。
