１リスナーがこんな事を言うのもおかしな話なのですが、この作品は売れるべきです。
なぜならここにはキャッチーな歌メロもなければ、豪華なゲストもいない。
にも関わらず、万人に通ずるのはこの「リズム」。
この作品は、リズムが時としてメロディー以上の力を持つ事を明確に示してくれるものとなっています。
従って、このアルバムが売れれば現在の音楽シーンの何かが変わるかも、
というとても大それた期待を抱く程、この作品には可能性が秘められています。

大袈裟な事を言わせていただければ、これはTalking Heads以降で始めての
「音色に頼らずに万人に届くポップミュージック」だと思います。
それは決してメロディーをおろそかにしている、という意味ではありません。比重をどこに置くか、という話です。

彼女の使う奇妙奇天烈なリズムも、実際にはブラジル音楽の引用だとかいう話もありますが、重要なのはそれをどう使うか、であり、
このようにポップ・ミュージックとしてしっかりと昇華されているのは、全くもって見事の一言です。

あと歌詞についてですが、僕は日本盤を買いましたが、英詞は恐らく輸入盤にも載っています。
内容もさほど難解なものではないので、ボーナストラック等との兼ね合いでご判断ください。
もっとも個人的なボートラへの評価は
”特筆すべき程ではないが、それなりには面白い”
という微妙なものなので、参考にはならないと思いますが…（笑）

このリズムトラックにやみつきになる！！
ほんっとかっこいいし、デジタルなとこもあればどこかしらアフリカっぽさがあるのがすごく好き。
９曲目のイントロが特に好きです。
ダンサーには絶対オススメ。

独特な感じ。今まであまり聞いた事の無い音。音質も全体的に良く、どの音もくっきりしていて、低音も一つ一つ切れが良くて聞いていて楽しい。

くせがあるが、万人受けだと思う。知名度があればもっと売れると思うんだが。
