このCDは、「蒼穹のファフナー RIGHT OF LEFT」のイメージマキシシングルになります。
ちなみに収録曲は
1.DEAD SET
2.花のように
3.DEAD SET（OFF VOCAL VERSION)
4.花のように（OFF VOCAL VERSION）
です。
何が、どこら辺が新境地なのかというと、一曲目に収録されている「DEAD　SET」。
これがまた前回の「蒼穹のファフナー」のような切なく、儚い曲のイメージから一転、タイトルの通り、死を覚悟した戦いを想像するような激しい曲に仕上がっています。
作曲をした、KATSUさんによると「僕はもともとメタルとかそういうのをやってたんだよね、angelaで一回くらいメタルっぽい曲やってもいいかなって思って作りました」だそうです。
確かに聞きながら首振れます。それくらい激しいです。ちょっとメタルからはずれてる気がしますが、atsukoさんのボーカルによってangela的プログレッシブメタル（？）みたいな感じになってて、かなり良いと思います。
もう一曲の方はまだ聞けていないので、ほかのレビュアーさんにお任せします。

angelaはアニメ『宇宙のステルヴィア』のOPの時に初めて知りました。

今回の歌はすごくテンポが早く、非常に迫力がありかっこいいです！
久しぶりにロックな感じの曲を聴けた感じがします。
このCDを買ってからはエンドレスで聴いてたりします。

このCD、ラジオで聞いた限りではあまり期待していなかったが・・・・
実際CDで聴いてみるとその迫力に圧倒される。1曲目はまるで畳み掛けるような、
圧倒される曲。2曲目はangelaらしい恋愛情歌。どちらの歌詞もいい。
正直、最初に彼らの曲を聴いた時以上の感動。ジャケは駄目でも
中身なら同リリースの有名アーティストたちとも渡り合えると思う。
