ロード・ムービーのように情景を描き、青春映画のように心情を紡ぐシンガーソングライター馬場俊英のインディーズ時代の感動の名作「ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン」ニュー・バージョンを含む全4曲収録のメジャー再始動第一弾シングル。THEATRE BROOKの佐藤タイジをはじめとする同年代のミュージシャンが参加のほか、親交の深いコブクロがコーラスとして参加。

【プロフィール】
96年にフォーライフからデビュー後、インディーズとして3枚のアルバムを発表。その中の楽曲「ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン」が関西地区のラジオから火が点き、コブクロがカバーするなど、俄然注目を集めることとなり、2005年、メジャー再始動。

「ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン」で高校のクラブの一シーンに戻され、
副キャプテンだが、どうしようもなく不真面目だったヒロシと
夏のグランドの暑さを思い出した。
「スタートライン」で、俺の人生まだまだこんなもんじゃないと思い返した。
「男たちへ女たちへ」で来し方を振り返り、
「花火」で長く付き合った彼女を思い出した。
そういえば、彼女とは一度も花火を見たことがなかったことに思い至った。

なんだか重松清の小説の読後感に似たものを覚えた。
もちろんいい意味で。

「ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン」は、最初のところの語りかけるような感じがいい。昔のフォークぽい感じが好き。サビの部分もおもわず一緒に歌いだしたくなる。元気になれた。

「スタートライン」に感動した。「ボーイズ―」は明るい感じだけど、こちらはしっとりした感じ。心の奥のほうに訴えかけてくる曲。歌詞がすごく素敵で、ひとつひとつの言葉が説得力があって、勇気付けられる。
馬場さんの歌声がやさしくて力強くてますます感動します。

馬場俊英さん　らしさが満載の１枚です。
優しい歌声・なんだか懐かしくて、力強くて、やさしい歌詞。
代表曲「ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン」、「スタートライン」はモチロン（スタートラインは泣けますよ）、馬場さんの入門としては絶対におススメです。
きっと、他のアルバムを聞きたくなりますよ。
