数あるボーイミーツガールストーリーの中でも、『最高の一冊』と胸を張っていえる、
小説「イリヤの空」。最近はマンガ版も連載中だとか、多数のメディアで展開されたこの物語。
このレビューはその中のひとつ、アニメ版、第６巻（第６話：最終話）についてです。

第５巻（第５話）までは前座だと思います。
さすがに３００ページ小説４冊を、無理やりアニメ６話に詰め込むのは無理があります。
なぜ１３話構成にしなかったのでしょうか？
第５巻までは、キャラクターの心理や、話と話のつながりに足りない部分が非常に目立ち、
原作小説かＤＳ電撃文庫のほうで補完しないと、よくわからない部分が多々あります。
原作を見た人なら、キャラクターの感情や、バックボーン、あらすじなどを知っているから
なんとか見ることができますが、
知らない人なら、おそらく「？」がでまくりでしょう。

しかし、このアニメ版「イリヤの空　ＵＦＯの夏」は、
この第６話のために生まれたといっても過言ではないほど、
最終話が優れています。
他の方のレビューにもありましたが、
第５話までは、原作の２〜３話をぎゅうぎゅうに詰め込んだ内容ですが、
この第６話では、１話まるごと収録されています（本来すべてがそうであって欲しいのですが）。
そしてこのアニメ最大の美点である映像美と
豪華声優の声（イリヤ：野中藍さん、榎本：井上和彦さんなど）が、
『南の島』を盛り上げてくれます。
そして、クライマックス、エピローグで、小説版とはまた
異なる感動を得て、
異なる感情を抱くはずです。

原作小説、ＤＳ電撃文庫を読んだ方でもぜひ、アニメ版「イリヤの空」の第６巻だけでも、観ていただきたいです。
そして、アニメは観たけれど小説は読んでいない、という方は、原作小説を読み、
再びこの第６話を観ていただければ、新しい何かを感じるかもしれません。

オススメ、です。

イリヤの空UFOの夏OVAの最終巻です！！
どうやら浅羽のじいちゃんの家で榎本と会うところから最後までです。
いままでは原作で2~3話を無理やり1巻に詰め込んだように見えましたが、今回は原作でも１話だけの「南の島」で１巻と、とても豪華です！！
イリヤファンの皆さん！是非逃さずに見ましょう！！そして皆であの感動を味わいましょう！！！

あっさりすぎた感じがある小説のラストの続きが注ぎ足されています。物語の解説が注ぎ足されてますが、個人的には小説版よりこっちのほうがEDとしてはしっくりきました。正直５話までは小説版を省略した内容でしたのでアレでしたが、この最終話はアニメ版のみしか視聴していない方はもちろんですが、ぜひ小説版のラストに物足りなさを感じた方に見てもらいたいです。
