5.0 out of 5 stars ジェラルド・バトラーの実力！, 2005/5/26
やっと日本発売されるジェラルド・バトラーの作品。今のワイルドな雰囲気からはちょっと想像出来ないくらい、優しくちょっと華奢な感じの彼の魅力が前面に出ています。好き嫌いが出る作品かもしれませんが、キャスト達の誰に感情移入するかで話の解釈が違ってくるので、キャスト一人一人をじっくり見て味わうのも良いかもしれません。ジェラルド・バトラーが柔・硬をこなせる実力のある俳優だという事もわかり、アクション中心で観てきた人はハッとするかも。独特なスコティッシュ・アクセントも聴きどころ！英語字幕がないのがちょっと寂しいですが、日本語吹き替えはファンにとってはまた興味をそそられるところでしょう。ちょっとトーンダウンした色のいくつもの風景と共に、センチメンタルな雨の日にゆっくり観るとしっくり来そうです。

　若く、細くて甘く美しいジェラード・バトラーを見る以外に見どころがない作品です。ストーリーに共感できませんでした。
　確かにヒロインに共感すれば多少の感動はあるのでしょうが、あまりに勝手すぎるように感じました。今更戻ってきたその昔の女に振り回され、優柔不断な優しさを示す夫（ジェラード）に奥さんがいらいらするのは当たり前です。
　ヒロインに魅力が感じられない事も、否定的な評価に繋がりました。ただし、音楽の使い方は良いと思います。

レビューを見て皆の意見を読みながら、このDVDを買う事を迷っていましたが、思い切って買って、さっそく観ました。自分の予想していた内容とは違い景色や音楽でも見せ場があり、病気のサラをめぐってジェラルド演じるサムとその妻シャーロットの心の格闘、サラの父の家族愛もすばらしい。ハリウッド映画のような華やかさはありませんが、感動作です。オペラのシーンでの妻の悲しみがオペラの音楽と共に、伝わり涙が出ました。病気の彼女への同情が愛情にかわっていくサムの心の変化もよく描けています。これが現実だったらと思うと本当に悲しいです。
