この製品は丸い氷と、球を面取りした形の氷が作れます。
サイズ的には、オンザロックに最適です。
氷の角の部分が少ないので、溶けにくく、飲み物が薄くなる時間がゆっくりです。

この製品を普通に冷凍庫に入れて氷を作った場合、冷蔵庫に付いているブロック製氷機と同じように、外側以外は白っぽく空気が入った氷ができてしまいます。
ですが、ゆっくりと凍らせることにより、透き通った部分を多くすることができます。
うちの冷蔵庫は冷蔵室でも吹き出し口付近に食品を置くと凍ってしまうのですが、そこにこの製品を置くといい感じで凍っていきます。
チルドがあるなら、その奥に入れるのもいいかもしれません。
凍るまでに2日くらいかかりますが、透き通ったキレイな氷ができます。

きれいな丸い氷、あるいは多面体に象られた氷が出来ます。
パッキンの密閉もよく、水漏れはありません。
ただ、凍らせた後、氷を取り出すのが一苦労。
水をかけて少し溶かさないと容器が開きません。
当然、取り出した後の氷は水でぬれてしまいます。
もう少し取り出しが楽だと良かったかなと思います。

手軽にアイスボールを作れて大変便利ですが、水漏れの確立が以外と多いような＾＾；
気をつけて閉めたつもりでも、少量ずつ漏れていることがあります。
大きさも、ロックグラスには若干小さい気がします。
凄く、惜しいんです＾＾
