２５年前、創刊号を購入したときの喜びは今でも忘れません。

当時スターログなど少年だった私には敷居の高いSF誌がある中、
｢クルー」と言う名で参加することを許されたような気分で
SFの星空の中を旅することができる唯一の雑誌がこの「宇宙船」でした。
以来１１９号もの宇宙船を飛ばし続けることができたのは
当初から幅広い年齢層を意識した編集方針の賜物だと思います。
開田裕治氏・米田仁士氏・篠原保氏らが描く
マニアックなイラストコーナーや、成田亨氏の怪獣画報、
上原氏×雨宮氏の「アニーの大冒険」、
村山氏・聖氏・池田氏・竹内氏らが執筆する＜大人のSF論＞の数々・・・
今思い出しても「名物コーナー」てんこ盛りで本当に内容の濃いSF誌でした。
昨今のイケメンヒーローブームに紙面を奪われ、それに売り上げの指針を委ねるのは
致し方がないのかと感じてはいたものの、創刊号当時の
煌びやかさはなくなり、ノスタルジーと資料の宝庫に浸れるような
雑誌方針・内容とかけ離れていたのは事実。
ただ、いざ読めなくなると思うと、この寂しさはどうだ。
・・・ずっと影ながらの「クルー」でした。この場を借りて編集の方々に御礼申し上げます。

この雑誌のホビー系イベント情報でワンダーフェスティバル、スーパーフェスティバル、楽市楽座、宝島などのホビー系のイベントのチェックが出来たが廃刊のお陰で情報源が無くなってしまった。何か代わりの情報源は無いだろうか？（マキ１３１３）
