SOPHIA、10周年リリース企画第3弾！ DVD『Everblue Films - 1』、シングル「Answer: イチバンタダシイコタエ」に続くシングルは、デビュー10周年の夏を華やかに飾る疾走感あふれるキラーチューン。カップリングにはライブでも使用されているエディット・ピアフの代表曲「Hyme A L'amour」（邦題「愛の賛歌」として有名）のカバーを収録。プロデュースはヒットメーカー亀田誠治が担当。


内容（「CDジャーナル」データベースより）

結成10周年の夏に西武ドームで企画したイベントに向け作り上げた、澄みわたった空へスーッと溶け込んでいきそうな爽快なミッド・ポップ・チューン。ちょっとほろ苦い想いも刻み込んだ歌詞は、ひと夏だからこその青春の風景を切々と映し出していく。

カップリングはライヴ前にかかるあの曲です。ソフィアライヴ参加経験者は興奮してしまうのでは？ソフィアライヴに興味がある人やいつもいっている人には必ず聴いてほしいなぁ〜♪そしてもっともっとソフィアを好きになってください。

一聴すると別れの切ない曲・・・のようだが、実はとても力強い。
別れではあるけれど、ここから始まるんだという次の一歩を感じさせる。
雑誌で松岡氏が語っていたところによると、男女の別れだけではなく、何にも置き換えられるらしい。とにかく、大切な人とのストーリー。
しばらくSOPHIAから離れてたんだけど・・・という人にもぜひ聴いて欲しい曲です。

そして、カップリングの「Hyme A L'amour」。フランスのシャンソンの名曲のカヴァー。SOPHIAにとって大切なこの曲を、１０周年の今やる意味が、なんとなく判る気がする。
松岡氏の「Hyme A L'amour」は、原曲よりも心に痛くて、これが彼の「愛」というものなのかと妙に納得した。
他の４人の演奏もしっかりしていて、まさにロックな「Hyme A L'amour」。
原曲とは違った趣のある、バンドサウンドに仕上がっている。この曲のキーボードはもはや神!? 現在、我が家ではヘビーローテーション中。

確かに「青い季節」や「ANSWER~イチバンタダシイコタエ~」に比べると衝撃度は
低いんだけど、いかにもSOPHIAらしい、この季節にぴったりのメロディ。
個人的には「My only season」を思い出します。あの曲が大人になった感じ。
野外ライブで聴くとすっごい感動しそう。
私はいつもギターの音中心にSOPHIAを聴くんだけど今回は全体的なメロディが
所々刺さる感じかな。
「愛の賛歌」は今回のツアーでも松岡のアカペラで披露されてるけど
4人の音が入るとこうなるのか！という‥‥　素晴らしいアレンジになってます。
