~久しぶりに今井美樹らしい、そして新しい今井美樹を感じさせる曲だと思います。
クレジットを見れば、作曲・川江美奈子、アレンジ・武部聡志という、
中島美嘉「桜色舞うころ」を手がけたソングライター＆プロデューサー、
そして今井美樹の数々の名曲を手がけた作詞：岩里祐穂。
昨年の夏に大ヒットしたベストアルバム「アイボリー３」で、
あの作曲家~~：千住明を起用し「野生の風」をフル・オーケストラで、
そして武部聡志アレンジで「瞳がほほえむから」を新たに録音するなど、
今後を予感させた、その答えのような作品だと思います。
これからも、変わり続ける今井美樹に期待！ですね。~

女系家族なる、ドロドロとしたスキャンダルドラマのテーマ、タイアップ曲。ドラマの内容がないようなだけに、放映時はテーマ曲もほとんど聞こえないほどだった。ただでさえ、ごく最近の今井さんのCD、ジャケットに顔のアップが目立つ。

シングル…ですが、なぜか耳にほとんど残りませんでした。いつものようにドラマ・タイアップ曲で、しかも『女系家族』。悲しいかな、ほとんど毎週のようにみて、そのプロット・シナリオ・キャスティングのひどさに辟易していただけに、テーマ曲とはわかっていても聞き味わうどころではありませんでした。
