5.0 out of 5 stars 一生聴き続けたいアルバム。, 2005/8/23
90年代ロックの名盤の1つ。今回の「ROCK YOU! 1500」シリーズのおかげでお求めやすくなりました。
「Bitter Sweet Symphony」はあまりに有名。以下に続くどの曲も素晴らしいです。
過去2枚のアルバムよりサイケ感は薄いですが、その分痛いほど響いてくるモノが…。
人生への讃美と問いかけが、このアルバムにはあります。
重なるギターとRichard Ashcroftの声に素直に感動できる1枚。聴いて損はないです。
これから「The Verve」を聞いてみようかな、という方にもオススメ。

Urban HymnsはThe Verveの最後のアルバムです。これを聞くたびにどうしてこんなすごい曲を作れる人達がバンドを解散しなければならなかったのかととても残念になるぐらい最高の出来になっています。

アルバム全体の構成に始まって曲の一つ一つが本当にすばらしい。何度も何度も聞かずにはいられない曲ばかりです。

特に4曲目の"The Drugs Don't Work"は何度聞いても涙が出そうになります。詞がすばらしいです。"Bitter Sweet Symphony"や"Sonnet"もいいです。

Coldplay好きな人とか是非買ってみてください!
