レッチリこのアルバムから段々味が出てきた。
今考えるとこの時のから現メンバーになったんだなーと懐かしく思う。
その前のアルバムもモチロン良い。

1989年9月リリース。プロデューサーはマイケル・ベインホーン。このアルバムからジョン・フルシャンテがギターで参加。アンソニー・キーディス(vo)、マイケル・フレア・バルザリー(b)、チャド・スミス(ds)という最強メンバーのレッチリ・スタッフとなった。

ハードさを失わずにより広いジャンルの音楽に挑戦しだしたのがこのアルバムの特徴で、例えば2曲カバーをやっているのだが、スティービー・ワンダーの2『Higher Ground』もジミ・ヘンの9『Fire』も素晴らしい出来映えになっている。ハード・ロック、パンク、ラップ、ポップ・ミュージックを貪欲に吸収し再構成する彼らの音楽はここに完成を見ていると思う。

元ギタリストのハイレル・スロバグに捧げられた本作は彼らの最初の大傑作と言えるだろう。

所謂はっちゃけた、変態な、パーティーなレッチリが聴ける最後のアルバム。

全体通してノリノリ。

ジャケットも好きだね。
