"スペインの3,000人以上の少年少女が応募したコンテストで、最終候補10人としてTV出演し一般投票選考で圧勝。で、デビューするや国内アルバム・チャートで12週連続1位、40万枚以上のセールスを記録したのだという。9歳のお嬢ちゃんの初アルバム、正直言うと恐いもの見たさに聴いたのだけれど、驚いた。ただかわいいだけじゃなく少ししゃがれた風合いがその声にはあり、随所で回し聴かせるコブシに覗く熱情は南スペイン/アンダルシア地方出身の血のせいか。テクノ/ダンスなシングル(1)では、かなり強いビート/サウンドにも圧されることなくラップ。そしてハードなロックからやわらかなポップ・バラード、フラメンコのステップ聴こえるような曲等々、次々とカラフルなファッションに着替えてみせるがごとく、多彩などんな曲でも堂に入った歌いっぷり。おしゃまな歌のうまい女の子の域は軽~く超えてます。ギター演奏などでスパニッシュ~ラテンの要素が打ち出されているのも特徴的。" (松永記代美) --- 2005年08月号

A Kid's Review
まだ子供だから声が幼いけど、曲は他に劣ってません。曲は特にスペイン風というわけでもないです。歌詞見るとマセてるなって思うけど、またそこがかわいいところ。歌唱力もあるし、ルックスもいいので今後の成長に期待。このままいけばビヨンセにも並ぶのでは？！頑張れマリア！

今年から、ラジオでスペイン語講座を始めたのですが、オープニングの曲がとてもスペインらしくて気に入っていました。先日　朝のテレビで
この曲とマリアを紹介していて、すぐに買おうと思いました。とても10歳とは、思えない歌唱力。スペイン版「美空ひばり」かも。

スペインではすでにかなりの有名人であるマリア・イザベル。公園に銅像まで立てられてしまったそうです！そんな彼女はスペインではアルバムを何枚か出しているようです。私がスペインにいた時、よくＣＤのショップを覗きに行きましたが、マリアの取り上げようはすごい。ニューアルバムを出していたマドンナだって隅に追いやってしまうほどの人気でした。
このアルバムは日本でのデビューアルバムですが、アップテンポで聞き易い。そしてとにかく歌が上手い。初めて聞いた時、もう驚嘆でした。天才だ！！ってぐらいに。笑　しかしまだまだ１０歳の子供ですから、声は幼いです。サウンドもそれに合わせてか、どっちかというと子供っぽい感じに仕上がっています。
この子がこのまま歌の世界で頑張れば、１５歳になる頃にはJOJOをもしのぐシンガーになるでしょうし、２０を過ぎればビヨンセと肩を並べるかもしれません。
これからずっと注目していたいシンガーです。
