コンセール・ラムルーのオーケストラの音が独特で面白い。
やや弦のアンサンブルが乱れ気味で、管が突出傾向にあるのだが、こうしたザックバランなサウンドゆえか、沸き立つような感興がある。
ただヘタクソな演奏とは違う、そこはかとない空気感が漂っているのだ。
ともすると空中分解しそうになるアンサンブルだが、ソリストのグリュミオーの音色が曲の印象をグッと引き締めているので、なかなか聴かせる名演奏となっている。
グリュミオーのソロだけでは硬い演奏になってしまっていただろうし、オーケストラのサウンドだけに頼っていては散漫になっていただろう。
協奏曲録音の相互補完的な特性を備えた、稀有な名演奏といえる。

コンセール・ラムルー管弦楽団の活動が低迷していた時期の録音であり、オーケストラの音が粗暴です。
グリュミオーのヴァイオリンが一人奮闘している感じの演奏で、余裕が全く感じられません。

オーケストラは烏合の衆で全く統率が取れていない。
無能指揮者ロザンタールの面目躍如である。
グリュミオーのヴァイオリンも投げやりで、これが美音家といわれる人の出す音かと思う。
