5.0 out of 5 stars 見るたびに発見がある, 2008/2/19
　ジョン・フォードの西部劇といえば、”駅馬車””黄色いリボン”が知られていて、この映画はその他大勢のひとつかと思っていた。ところがそうではなかった。これがベストではないか。くり返して何度もみることができる。
　俳優ではヘンリー・フォンダとウォルター・ブレナンが際立っている。二人は映画のはじめと終わりで顔を合わせる。ヘンリー・フォンダは落ち着きはらっている。善にも悪にもつよい。ウォルター・ブレナンは根っからの悪党。まさに対照的で絵になっている。
　ＤＶＤの画面はかなり暗いので、はじめは「ナンダ？」と思うかもしれない。目が暗さになれてくると、中味のよさがしだいにわかってくる。酒場の光景、ドク・ホリディのハムレットのせりふ、ラストの決闘等々見所が多い。

個人的には大好きな作品です。
なぜかというと自分は西部劇も好きだし、ヘンリー・フォンダも好きだからです。

作品としては、まちがいなく西部劇の代表作でしょう。
（正直、英語のタイトル"My Darling Clementine"は主題歌とのタイアップのため気に入りませんが。）
「真昼の決闘」や「夕陽のガンマン」シリーズもいいですが、
個人的にはこの「いかにも西部劇」という感じの作風が好きですね。
さすがジョン・フォードという感じが要所ににじみ出ています。

配役としてはやはりワイアット・アープ（ヘンリー・フォンダ）の保安官姿が最高です。
ヘンリー・フォンダといえば他に「12人の怒れる男」や「怒りの葡萄」など、
数多くの名演がありますが、あいかわらずの落ち着き払った表情や知的な台詞、演技、
この作品ではちょっと女に弱いお茶目なところをみせるなど、
彼の豊かな表現力と人間性が伝わってきます。

話の筋は単純明快なやられたからやり返す的な復讐劇ですが、
賭博士ドク（ジョン・ドック・ホリディ）やクレメンタイン、チワワなど、
魅力あふれるキャラクター達が物語を盛り上げていきます。

西部劇ファンかヘンリー・フォンダのファンならぜひ見てください。
この値段だし、損はしません。
