30年ほど前、当時「ニューミュージック」という音楽ジャンルが生まれました。フォークでもなく、ロックでもなく、歌謡曲でもなく。新しい時代の音楽の到来を感じたものでした。

ユーミンの曲をオシャレなコーラスで彩るハイ・ファイ・セットは、ファッショナブルなコーラス・グループのトップに踊り出ました。

50代の音楽ファンですので、このＣＤに収められている曲のほとんどが、リアル・タイムで愛聴してきたものばかりです。四半世紀たった今聴いても古さは全く感じさせず、その音楽水準の高さを再確認しました。

個人的な青春の思い出が一杯詰まっている「幸せになるため」は、特別な存在ですが、本当にステキな歌詞とメロディを持った曲ですね。埋もれた名曲といえると思います。多くの方に聴いて欲しい作品です。

「卒業写真」、「冷たい雨」などは、ユーミンの歌うオリジナルとは少し雰囲気が違いますね。よりポップでオシャレな感じがします。服部克久さんや松任谷正隆さんのアレンジの違いを比較するのもファンにとっては興味あるところです。

山本潤子さんの透明感のあるボーカルの魅力は当然のことですが、山本俊彦さんのファルセットのハーモニーと、大川茂さんの味のある低音の支えのどれが欠けても、ハイ・ファイ・セットではありません。大川茂さんのベースのボーカルがフューチャーされている曲も、今ではただただ懐かしく聴いております。

1994年の解散の後、いろいろなことがありましたが、エバー・クリーンの歌声はＣＤの中に燦然と輝いています。

待ちに待ってます･･。こんな時代だからこそ『ハイファイセット』との再会が凄く楽しみです。せっかくだから全部の作品を是非リメイクして欲しい。今こそ、こんな時代にこそ・・世の中に、『ハイファイセット』の音楽が絶対に必要だと思います。何せ心の底からの　元祖癒し系グループなんですから。

山本潤子さんの声は、やっぱりいいですね。
ユーミンとは、また違った良さがあります。

私は30代で、当時は、まだ、音楽はＬＰでした。
ＣＤで聴けるようになったのは喜ばしい限りです。
ぜひ、若い人たちにも聞いてほしいです。
