5.0 out of 5 stars 新生ジャーニーのライブDVD！, 2005/6/29
　１９９６年に名作Escape・Frontiersを生み出した最強のメンバーで再結成後、ボーカルがスティーブ・オウジェリー、ドラマーがディーン・カストロノヴォに代わっての初のライブ映像です。確かにスティーブ・オウジェリーにはスティーブ・ぺリー程の表現力はないかも（っていうかペリーさんは歌うますぎ！）。しかし、二ール・ショーンのギターソロに代表される演奏力の高さ、コーラスワークのすばらしさ（特にHigher Placeでのディーンのコーラスは最高！）はそれを補ってあまりある。もちろんオウジェリーの歌唱力も決して悪くないので、非常に完成度の高いライブです。親しみやすいメロディだし、最近では映画やＣＭでも曲がよく使われているので、洋楽があまりわからない人でも楽しめる内容であると思います。ぜひ聴いてみて下さい！

　一昨年前、新生ジャーニーの大阪公演を見てきました。新ＶｏのオウジェリーとＤｒのカストロノボだっけ、ちょい心配だったけど、ライブを見て心配はふきとびました。もし、ペリーだったとしても、オウジェリーの様なライブになってるはず。高校生の頃観たエスケープツアー、フロンテイアーズツアーの時のペリーは元気イッパイですっごくカッコよかった。でもそれを観に行ってた私も今は４０歳。もしペリーがジャーニーで今でもＶOをやってたとしても、それなりに歳を取ってるので、オウジェリーのような落ち着いた歌い方になってると思うな。でも良く似た声の持ち主がいたもんだ。カストロノボちゃんも結構高音の声が出ることも生で観てわかった。このライブ２００１を買って、ボーカル変わってもジャーニーは不滅だなと思った。聞きやすいしバラードもいいしやっぱり最高ですね。また私の持ってるミュージックＤＶＤのなかで最高の録画、録音の状態です。５．１ＣＨでボリューム大きくしていつも見てしまいます。今度これを持ってＤＶＤ持込ＯＫの大画面の試写室みたいな有料の店行ってボリュウム全開で観てこようと計画中です。ジャーニーファンの方、オウジェリーを侮る無かれ。顔はぺりーのほうが良いけど、彼らはミュージシャンだよ。ライブ２００１最高でーす。個人的な思いですが、フロンテイアーズツアーのライブＤＶＤが出れば良いなと願ってます。
付け加えですが、ＬＡ　ＲＡＺＡ　ＤＥＬ　ＳＯＬでのニールとジョナサンの掛け合いがめちゃカッコいいです。ドラムのカストロノボちゃんもすごいです。ラテン系の曲なのですが何度見ても感動します。新生ジャーニーの活躍を期待させます。ジャーニーがんばれ。

長年ファンだったジャーニーとは全然違ったバンドみたい。オージェリもペリーの域に達していないし、ドラムもうまいのはいいが、このバンドにしては目立ちすぎ。バンドとしてまとまりはあるし、映像も綺麗だけど、ファン層やノリもどこかのクラブの客みたいです。アライバル以前の名曲はやはりスティーブペリーでないと違和感がすごくあります。やっぱり映像古くても、ヒューストンライブの方を買えばよかった。
