２５年以上も前に彼女の声を初めて聞いたとき、大変衝撃を受けました。もしかしてこの人には「冷たい血」が流れているのではないかと。アーント・サリーから現在までこの印象は変わっていません。バッキングも完璧な面子のこのアルバム。いまだに彼女のアルバムの中で最も好きな１枚です。

発売当初は丁度ドイツ系のプログレッシブロック全盛の時代でもっと難解なバンドが沢山いたので普通に聞いていたが、誰でも薦めるアルバムではない。今聴くとおもしろいかもしれない。当時このようなアプローチは、当時彼女くらいだったような気がする。あの音程の不安定さは、カンのボーカルだったダモ鈴木に通じるものがある。

まだ20歳くらいのころ、たまたま立ち寄ったレコード店で聞いた「終曲」に衝撃を受け、予約して買ったのがこのアルバム。
すぐカセットテープに録音して、テープが伸びるまで聞きました。
どこがいいの？と聞かれてもわからない、でも飽きない。

30年近くの時間をおいて、今聞いてもすばらしい。何回聞いても飽きない。
たぶん一生聞き続けるでしょう。
でもやっぱり、どこがすばらしいの？と言われても、今もわかりません。

とにかく、聞いてもらうしかありません。
ダメな人は、たぶん全然ダメだと思います。
でも、はまる人ははまるはず。
すごいアルバムです。
