5.0 out of 5 stars TVの前でクッションを握りしめて観てました。, 2005/8/25
とても心温まる素敵なロマンチック・コメディでした。

主人公がゲイであることが作品のメイン・テーマですが、
自分らしさ、何が「幸せ」ということなのか、インド人社会、イスラムの中でゲイとして生きていくこと、母親と息子などの
複雑な背景がより一層、作品に厚みを持たせてくれます。

また、映画ファンには彼の親友が名優ケーリー・グラントンだということが作品を盛り上げてくれる一要素になるのではないでしょうか。
彼を通して主人公が精神的成長をとげて行く姿にはジーンとしました。
（そして、ケーリーのパロディも楽しませてくれます。）

個人的には、主人公の「彼氏」ジャイルズにメロメロでした。
顔は好みではなかったのですが、だんだんとハンサムに見えてきて…（笑）中盤からはもう虜でした。

全体として、シリアスとコメディが絶妙なバランスで時々涙･･･と最後まで楽しめました。
おまけとして、監督と主演者二人の解説付きで全編が観れます。
いろいろな種明かしをしてくれますから、必ず二回は観ますよ（笑）
でも、それ抜きで何度でも観たいと思える作品でした。

ちなみに原題「Touch of Pink」はケーリー・グラントの「ミンクの手ざわり(That Touch of Mink)」と引っ掛けてあります。
