映画の皇帝ペンギンを見て、エンディングの「All is White」がいつまでも耳に残ったので、翌日購入。
歌自体は6曲ですが、それぞれの場面がすぐに思い出せるインストゥルメンタルがいっぱい詰まってます。
CDの解説にも書いてあるように「氷のかけらを擦り合わせた音」を加工していろんな曲に入れてありますが、その音はペンギンが南極の凍った大地を踏みしめる音のように聞こえてきます。

シンセサイザーと生楽器の音の融合が見事で、映画「皇帝ペンギン」の感動を盛り上げる。まさに南極の空気のように澄みきったサウンドである。サントラとしての完成度が高いだけでなく、毎日聴いて癒される音楽である。私はこの映画（とサントラ）で初めてエミリー・シモンに接したのだが、聴き終えたあとすぐに彼女の全ＣＤを注文した！
